HONEY AS A ROOT HORMONE
We all know that honey has many health benefits. It is, after all, a natural antiseptic and has antifungal properties – both of which are believed to be a reason why honey seems to work so well as a rooting hormone. In fact, one tablespoon (15 ml) of honey will contain about 64 calories and 17 grams of carbohydrates, most of which are derived from sugars and seem to provide a much-needed growth to plants like ours.
In addition to retaining potential root agents, it is believed that the use of honey for cuts helps protect against bacterial or fungal problems, allowing small cuts to stay healthy and strong.
HONEY PLANT GROWTH RECIPE FOR GROWING ROSES FROM CUTTING
If you are willing to try this natural way, you will probably find a few floating recipes, all of which can be used. Having said that, you may want to check for the one that works best for you and will give the best results. Some people have even added honey to willow water to help the roots.
But to get started, one of the first things I’m here to do is create a honey/water mixture for your cutting (it can be adjusted if needed).
1 . Honey (15 ml) – Pure or raw honey seems to be better than regular store-bought honey (whose beneficial properties have been removed/processed). It gives the best results. Make sure to say “pure” honey.
2 cups (0.47 L.) of boiling water – Mix honey with your boiling water (do not boil the honey yourself) and let it cool. Store in the dark and keep this mixture in an airtight container (such as a mason jar) until ready to use. This mixture should be stored for up to two weeks.
HOW TO GROW ROSES FROM CUTTING USING HONEY
When you are ready to start using honey for cutting roots, you first need to prepare your cut and pot soil. Your cuts should be 6 to 12 inches long and cut at an angle of about 45 degrees.

Now, simply dip each cut honey into the mixture, then stick their desired potting to the ground. Cut honey has been found to be effective using several potting media, including soil, water, and even rock wool.
- For the earth-based medium, it is easy to pierce a hole with each cut pencil (or your finger) for insertion. Also make sure to keep your soil moist. (You can cover with vented plastic if you want) The same idea applies to your baseless medium.
- When rooting in water, put your cut in honey and throw it directly in the water.

HOW TO USE HONEY AS ROOTING HORMONE
There are three ways to do this:

- Dip the cut end of the cut you are about to cut and rotate it around to form a thin layer. After soaking, plant it in a growing medium.
- Add two tablespoons of honey to two cups of boiled water and let the solution cool. Cut and dip in it and plant it in growing medium.
- Soak the cut in water and grind the cinnamon. Then, cut in the honey before planting the cut trees. Adding cinnamon will increase the strength of this DIY root hormone
Once you have soaked all your cuttings and put them in the potting soil, just wait for your cuttings to take root, which should be done in about a week. read also
